OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G — A little extra than you would expect….
OVERVIEW:
OnePlus recently launched successor to the Nord CE, simply Nord CE 2 in it’s Double Feature event that was on Thursday 17 February 2022. While it has a low entry price, it also has a bunch of little improvements that should hopefully ass up to a better user experience. Let’s check it out.
DESIGN:
It looks as if, OnePlus has used RealMe’s telephone body because the chin at the the front side is too massive and it’s similar to the recently released RealMe 9 Pro+ 5G. If we don’t forget, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G had a smaller chin and higher show however this upgraded model doesn’t have the same. This phone is super thin, it’s just 7.8mm thick, actually that’s the slimmest phone since the OnePlus 6T. The Nord CE 2 has a very pleasant in-hand feel, and it seems quite sturdy and well put together, which makes it comfortable to use.
FEATURES:
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G comes with a 6.43-inches 90Hz AMOLED show with a pick out brightness of 800 nits of 180Hz contact sampling price. You do get a 20x9 form factor and this display does have a P3 Color gamut along with a 90 Hz of Refresh rate. Display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and it does have HDR 10 Certification. Overall it has good colors which is something that you typically expect with an Amoled Display but for this I was expecting at least 120 Hz of Refresh rate.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G lineup also getting a new processor and comes with Mediatek Dimensity 900 SoC, 5G Chipset.
It is an 8(2+6) core, 6nm super-fast and light on power chip launched in Q2 of 2021, frequency up to 2.4 GHz, and adopts the 2x Cortex-A78: 2.4 Ghz + 6x Cortex-A55: 2.0 Ghz making it super-fast and best flagship processor in this price segment. The Dimensity 900 provides flagship-class CPUs , Storage, Memory and Displays, to always give users incredible mobile experiences. Mediatek MiraVision brings cinema-grade visuals into video streaming and playback.
Total number of Threads available is 8 and Memory type it supports is LPDDR4X/LPDDR5, Supports up to 108 Megapixels (Dual 20+20MP) and Supported maximum Resolution is 2520x1080. By keeping 5G modem in the chip, the company have made 5G speeds up to 20% faster than others, adding essential technologies like dual 5G Sim, carrier aggregation and the latet VoNR Services.

BACK-CAMERA:
The Triple camera setup of this phone is top-of-the notch. 64MP Main sensor records 4K, 1080p and 720p videos is much impressive.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G on the back packs with 64 Megapixel primary camera sensor with f/1.79, 8 Megapixel Ultra-Wide Angle Camera with f/2.2 Aperture and 2 Megapixel Macro Camera Sensor with f/2.4. Now, that 2MP Macro sensor is only for advertising, so forget about about that. That 64MP sensor is very effective however looks like, OnePlus didn’t take complete benefit of that sensor. It’s hit or miss, from time to time, the pictures come out very good, and every so often, it’s not even useable.
Other than this, AI Scene Enhancement + AI Highlight Video + Dual-view video + HDR+ Nightscape + Portrait Mode+ Pano + Retouching is also an important quality to be considered. Back camera records 4K @ 30fps, 1080p @ 30/60 fps.
The smartphone doesn’t have OIS guide, it is predicated on EIS.
FRONT-CAMERA:
It supports a 16 MP front facing Punch Hole camera with f/2.4 lens. Other than this, Auto-HDR and Dual Video call features is also an important quality to be considered. Front camera records 1080p @ 30/60 fps. The 16MP sensor is ideal sufficient to take a few proper selfies, so sure, if you’re that character who likes to take selfies then you will be greater than happy with the front digicam.
PRICE:
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G smartphone will come mainly in 2 storage variants.
It’s 6GB Ram and 128GB storage variants will cost ₹23,999 while, the 8GB Ram and 128GB storage variant will come for ₹24,999. It will move on sale for consumers starting February 22nd on Amazon, retail stores and at the OnePlus’s portal website.
